Who will be teaching at CookieCon?
We will have a fabulous line-up of instructors, just as we do at every CookieCon event! We are finalizing that list and expect to make announcements soon!

What are Add-On Workshops?
You get a full package of instruction and experiences with your ticket price, so if that is all you do, you’ll have a great time! But if you are looking to make the most of your trip to CookieCon, we also offer a fantastic line-up of Add-On Workshops that you can register for.

Our Add-On Workshops are smaller, hands-on experiences with world-class instructors. Each one is an additional cost, and those will be listed on our registration site soon. Registration for these classes will happen at the same time that you purchase your CookieCon ticket (beginning March 14, 2018).

These classes will take place on Wednesday and Thursday, and will not interfere with the core CookieCon experiences. If you opt out of these, you can arrive by noon on Thursday.

Is it ok if we arrive late? What about having to leave early?
While we'd love to have you there for as much of the event as possible, if you need to arrive late or leave early that's just fine. If you'll get there later than Thursday, just find one of the event staff when you arrive so we can get you "checked in", and get you your name tag, schedule, etc.

The entire schedule will be available closer to the event, but the basic outline is registration and orientation on Thursday, Opener/Keynote Thursday evening, included classes and vendors all day Friday, vendors, open decorating, breakout sessions, closing banquet on Saturday. If you register for any Add-On Workshops, they will be held on Wednesday and Thursday.

Will we need to bring decorating supplies? What about cookies to decorate and try some of the techniques being taught?
Supplies and cookies for decorating will be provided - so no need to worry about any of this. Having said that, if there is anything you'd like to bring to use yourself, show others, etc., this would be more than welcome. You will be responsible for keeping track of your stuff. Some Add-On Workshops may require you to bring some supplies, but that will be clearly outlined when you register for each class.

Do we have to bring decorated cookies for the Sugar Show contest?
We would LOVE to see as many people bring cookies as possible to contribute to our Sugar Show - but if you simply don't want to, it's not required.

If we want to save on the hotel, can we have roommates? How will that be arranged?
You are more than welcome to make whatever arrangements you'd like with roommates. The CookieCon Attendee Facebook page will be great resources for making such arrangements. You can join this page once you've purchased a ticket.

Will there be vendors there?
Absolutely. Details on specific vendors are coming. Keep an eye on this web site. We will also be announcing them on the CookieCon Facebook page. If you are interested in being a CookieCon sponsor or vendor, please click here for more information and to apply.

Is this event limited to U.S. Residents?
Absolutely not. We'd love to see anyone come. As long as you love cookie art, we love you! We saw decorators from several different countries at our last event!

Is CookieCon beneficial for any skill level?
We strive to cater to decorators of all skill levels. Feedback from attendees has indicated that new and experienced decorators alike loved CookieCon and felt that they benefited from it. We have even had people attend who had never decorated at all!

If something comes up, and I cannot attend, are there refunds?
We understand that life happens. If you are unable to attend CookieCon after purchasing a ticket, please let us know ASAP. For the CookieCon event ticket, full refunds minus a $15 processing fee will be offered until August 12, 2018.

Students may cancel their Add-On Workshop registration(s) for a refund (minus a $10 per class cancellation fee) up to July 14, 2018. From July 15 through August 12, 2018 they may cancel with a 50% penalty.

After August 12, 2018 there will be no refunds issued for either the event ticket or Add-On Workshops.

The Cookie Countess
Hillary Ramos

Hillary Ramos decorated her first cookie in January of 2011, for her son's second birthday. Little did she know she would become The Cookie Countess, and it would turn into a new passion and career path for her and her family.

Starting with only a few designs, The Cookie Countess has since grown to having over 800 stencil designs. The Cookie Countess has also expanding into offering custom made products like their new Precision Rolling Pin, and much loved supplies such as cookie cutters, airbrush machines and colors, and storage solutions for all those fabulous stencils. In 2015, her husband Jon joined in the cookie fun and has helped grow their business to a one stop shop for cookie decorators.

Katy Metoyer

After seeing a platter of decorated cookies at a party, Katy was intrigued and started learning all she could about this new-found world of cookies. After experiencing a sudden loss, Katy dove into cookies as a sort of therapy, opening herself up to new possibilities, friendships and adventures. In 2017, she opened her brick and mortar shop, Sugar Dayne Cookies.

Katy lives in Hermosa Beach, California. She is a wife and a Mom to two boys. When she's not in her cookie studio, she loves paddle boarding to visit her town's resident whale, skating, going to the beach and watching her son play baseball.

Katy claims to be 'no artist' and she doesn't do cookies for the recognition, fame or popularity. She does it to express herself and help herself heal through decorating but mostly to bond with her cookie friends.

Jodi Till
Jodi Till
Kids to College Cookie Creations
Jodi Till

Jodi grew up baking cookies with her grandma, aunt, and mom, which truly ended up being her most cherished childhood memory. In 2014, her sister wanted her to make a cookie Facebook page so friends could order and Jodi could make a little side money. With that year being a fresh "empty nester" and seeing how expensive it was to keep two kids in college, she accepted the proposal and posted the page “Kids to College Cookie Creations.” Her whim soon ended up turning into a full-fledged business, and now she concentrates her time teaching others how to pass on the cherished memories of baking and decorating cookies together.

Jodi loves opening up her home and teaching cookie classes several times a week to those in northern California. She is known for her unique designs, clean style, and puffy icing. Jodi was a two-time first-place winner in the Sugar Show at CookieCon2015 and CookieCon2017.

When Jodi isn’t cookie-ing, she can be spotted in the corner of a courtroom sitting in the court reporter’s chair or at Homegoods hoarding serving trays and kitchen towels.

This is THE event for cookie art! CookieCon provides an awesome opportunity to get your cookie products in front of a very targeted audience. Learn about vendor and sponsor details below.

Sponsor & Vendor Information

CookieCon is the largest known Cookie Decorators' Convention and Show in the world. Cookie decorating is a swiftly-growing industry, and our event will be drawing cookie decorators from every corner of the world. This year we will have approximately 575 attendees (plus presenters and staff) who will be eager to discover suppliers and businesses that cater to the hobby and business of cookie decorating. Please read through the following information and let us know if you'd like to be part of CookieCon by filling out our sponsor & vendor application.

CookieCon is an ideal opportunity to get word out about your product or services and to leave a great impression on cookie decorators! As an official CookieCon Sponsor you will enjoy the following benefits:

We ask that sponsors donate a minimum of $200 in cash or the equivalent in a drawing prize(s), or product samples for each attendee to be included in their "swag" bags. Rather than provide different levels of sponsorship, each sponsor will determine their level of exposure by what is donated. For example, providing a product sample for each attendee will go a long way in reaching each and every attendee by letting them see what you offer first-hand! Please provide 575 items if you choose this option (to be shipped to us by July 12th, 2018). If you'd like to donate a drawing prize, we will have the prizes on display along with lists of those who donated. Again, a generous prize displayed here will contribute to the impression you'll be leaving with our attendees.

Obviously product relating to your business will be the best way to advertise yourself, but if providing a cash donation is a better fit for you we will make sure that is recognized as well. Cash donations will go toward the cash prizes given to attendees entering in and winning the Sugar Show contests.

Vendor / Exhibitor
Do you have a product to show or sell to cookie decorators? Coming to CookieCon will give you a great opportunity to meet and mingle with potential customers and tell them all about what you have to offer. Feedback from attendees has overwhelmingly indicated that they love to shop vendors at the event! If you're accepted as a CookieCon Vendor, we will require a $500 fee. You will be provided with a 10' x 10' space at our event, along with a skirted table, chairs, power, and wi-fi. You will be able to sell, show, and promote at your booth for 2 full days (September 14-15). We also have the following add-ons you may wish to consider: Payment for booth space and add-ons is due by May 12, 2018 but can be paid for any time before then.

Vendors and Exhibitors are responsible for their own travel and lodging. You are welcome to make arrangements with the hotel and use the special CookieCon rate to get a discount on your room. Two vendor passes are available per vendor. If you need additional vendor passes, please contact us. Vendor passes will not admit you to CookieCon classes or the banquet, but you may purchase a banquet ticket as stated above.

Sales Tax
Indiana state sales tax is 7%. You will be required to collect and pay that tax on your CookieCon sales. We will provide necessary forms when you check in at the event.
